Welcome to Minnalousha May's Cat Hideaway

Minnalousha May’s Cat Hideaway (MMCH) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of cats in need. Operating as a boutique-style rescue, we provide individualized care in calm, stable foster homes. This approach allows each cat to receive personal attention and support in a safe environment, helping them decompress, heal, and adjust at their own pace.

 

MMCH is more than a rescue, we are a community for cats who may not immediately find permanent adoptive homes. Through our foster program, we ensure every cat receives consistent care, companionship, and stability, whether they are preparing for adoption, ongoing rehabilitation, or lifelong foster placement.

 

We are an official partner in the Home To Home® program, an initiative of the Humane Society of the United States. This program helps cats move directly from one home to another without entering a shelter environment. It reduces stress and keeps transitions personal and informed. In cases where intake is appropriate, we also accept owner surrenders and help guide families through the safest path for their cat.

 

As a 100% donation-supported nonprofit, we rely entirely on community generosity to provide food, veterinary care, and daily support for every cat in our care. We are also expanding community outreach initiatives, including sponsored spay and neuter assistance for pet owners facing financial hardship, helping reduce unwanted litters and improve long-term feline welfare.
